Construction Inpections - Various Stages

constructionOur construction inspections are usually done at stages of the building work but we can adjust this to fit in with progress payment schedules or to address any particular concerns.

Common construction inspection stages are:

  • Footing stage as an independent check

  • Completion of framing

  • Completion of brickwork (or other cladding)

  • Just prior to wet area tiling

  • Just prior to practical completion

DOCUMENTATION: The framing plan, building plans and elevations and the footing engineer's report are important documents for construction inspections.

Examples of issues identified during construction inspections are errors in reinforcement, bracing missing or incorrectly secured, tie-downs not connected, undersized framing members, defects in waterproofing, framing damaged when plumbing and wiring is fixed, brickwork out of tolerance, defective and incomplete finishing work.
